October 19th - Songwriters Night at Corner Bar - This month Bob and I had John Winters and Marc Douglas Berardo with us. What a great night! We had a lot of musicians supporting us this week Rick Kuncicky, Brady Green, Steve Beck, Dan and Sharon Pillen, Brent Byrd and a very special guest Don Oja Dunnaway. Thanks everyone for supporting this event. Hope to see you November 16th. Our guests will be Katherine Archer and Ron Norris.
October 20th, DAVE at the Chianti Room - It was a great afternoon. Some folks that were at the writers night showed up. I always look forward to seeing my friend Michael Howard! Thats it for in-town gigs this week.
October 21st, Travel Day - Theresa and I left for Cashiers N.C. at around noon. We had a nice uneventful trip and arrived at the Reeves' about 10:30 p.m.
October 22nd, DAVE and George - Around noon, George and I headed up to the studio to look at the song we had started in June. Last trip was the first time we didn't complete a song. We moved a little on it but had to walk away again and head for the gig. A little quiet when we were setting up but that all changed when we got ready to play. Always a pleasure playing with my friend George Reeves!
October 23rd, DAVE and GEORGE at JJ's - Once again we headed up the stairs to the studio and once again we were unable to complete the song. We had a few more ideas though. The gig was great! Had a lot of local folks show up.
October 24th, Songswrithers in the Round at Bucks Coffee House - Up the stairs to try to finish the song again. This time George thought up the magic line that helped us finish the tune. We played it for the girls and they cryed "Change The World". The song was to new to do at the songwriters night. Down the hill we go! George and I were joined by Bruce Ladd and Jay Drummonds. Bruce made some nice music. It was the first time I had met him. Jay Drummonds is another story and a good one. I am a real fan of his writing and performing. The night was a success!
October 25th, Travel Day - We left about 8:45 a.m. and drove to the Georgia Guide Stones (neat place), then had some lunch at La Fagota, a mexican restaurant we like to stop on our way home. The rest of the trip went by pretty quick and we arrived home about 6:30 pm. It's good to be home!
I'm excited to get togewther with Barry Dunaway at Cave Canem Studios and put the finishing touches on our new CD "Live At The Musideum". Thanks for letting me live my dream! Stop texting, start talking! Early detection can save your life! Don't litter! Smile it will make your day better! Keepin' It Real!!! -David
