Monday 2/21 - It was a full Big Lonesome rehearsal.  The whole gang was there along with Chuck and Roboat.  We had a great practice.  We would like to thank the great folks at Survival Straps for making us survival bracelets Check them out. Kruz has come up with a song called The Big Lonesome. I picked up the idea today.

Tuesday 2/22 - Worked on The Big Lonesome song a little today.

Wednesday 2/23 - In the studio to add a violin part on"Goodbye Danny". Now it's time to start mixing.

Thursday 2/24, "JUST DAVE" @ The Corner Bar - I'm knocked out by how many people showed up to support original music.  I would like to thank Kruz, Sharon Dunaway, Wayne Johnston, Gregg Chirico and my old friend Marc Douglas Berardo (scroll down for photos).  You guys made this a very special night. I am sorry I'm going to miss Marc in April (The Big Lonesome will be in Virginia). But we're in talks about going up Marc's way in June. Thanks again everybody I had a great time!

Friday 2/25 - Headed to the Fox Theater in Atlanta with Theresa to see John Prine and possibly meet him.  The trip was great.  Atlanta is easy to get in and out of.  The last time I was at the Fox Theater was for the release of "Freebird" the movie.  It is a beautiful place.  After having dinner at the Hard Rock with the Nicks Brothers (Jim and Jack), we took a stroll down Peachtree St.  It was quite a walk but what a cool city.  After arriving at the Fox, we found out that the opening act was "The Old Crow Medicine Show".  These guys were great.  They did two songs NorthStar and Just Dave will be learning "Tell It To Me" and "The Wheel".  John Prine was great although the meeting never took place.  I would like to thank Sharon Holland and family for taking care of us.  We had a great time and really appreciate all the effort.  Maybe next time.

Saturday, 2/26 "Just Dave" SeaJay's, Jekyll Island - What a great gig!  I am so lucky to get a chance to do these great gigs.  Thanks Ed.  Also thanks to Tommy and staff, you were great as usual and sorry for playing over.  I was having so much fun I lost track of time.  Looking forward to my next trip your way.

Sunday, 2/27 "Just Dave" Finnegan's Wake - I was worried coming to this gig.  Last week was slow so I told Theresa if there was a few people at the bar and a couple of tables I would be stoked.  Well it was a lot more than that!  There was a good crowd.  I had a great time. Thanks to the great staff at Finnegan's Wake.

Had a great week. I am blessed to have so many good people around me and so many good people that come out to see me.  I've written several new songs and have a bunch of new ideas lately.  It's all because of the support and encouragement I get from my friends and folks that come to see me.  Thanks to you all from the bottom of my heart.  Keepin' It Real -David

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday, 2/16 - Getting together with my "Lonesome" friends today, can't wait! We're working on "Lonely Room" and a few others. Told some jokes and laughed a lot. We'll be getting together with eveyone Monday night.

Thursday, 2/17, "JUST DAVE" @ The Corner Bar - What a blast! When I started there was a few people sitting at the bar, nobody in the room. Kruz and Tom showed up and then all hell broke loose. The place was packed. Thanks for showing up everyone. Thanks to Gregg (The Big Lonesome, Mr. Natural, The Hackers) for singing with me. And thanks for sharing your music with us Kruz. Reminder for next week, singer, songwriter Marc Douglas Berardo is suppose to stop by to share the night with me. Come down and check it out. I'll play my new song "Superman (Should've Stopped at Shot #5).

Friday, 2/18, "NORTHSTAR" @ Shaughnessy's - This is probably one of the best gigs I've been apart of of here at Shaughnessy's. What a great audience. Thanks to Marty and staff for a great night. Wayne Johnston sat in and kicked butt. Also Wayne said he would stop by on Thursday for the singer songwriter night with Marc Douglas Berardo.

Saturday, 2/19 "JUST DAVE" @ Finnegan's Wake - Had a nice crowd. I think I made some new friends. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Sunday, 2/20 "JUST DAVE" @ Finnegan's Wake - I've been on a good run of late, but today the ones that did good were Aaron Baddeley (PGA) and Trevor Bayne (Daytona 500). I played my 3 hour set for my wife and a few people here and there. That's just how it happened. Sunday 2-5pm Somewhere else on A1A.

I've had a great week. I'm real excited about The Big Lonesome. Hope to be in the studio this week. Meeting John Prine on Friday (I hope) and have a couple new songs to work on. Life is good! Keepin' It Real -David

Thursday 2/10 AM - In the studio (Eclipse), Ed is going to lay down a traditional tune "Been All Around the World".

PM "Just Dave" @ The Corner Bar - Had a great time! Kruz got up and played a few. Stacey & Curtis (Good Wood) stopped by. Randy Watts hung out also, he'll be leaving in the AM headed to Georgia, as I am to do a NorthStar gig. It's good to hang with Randy.

Friday 2/11 NorthStar @ Zachry's - Our best night yet! Had some old friends stop by. Mad some new ones. Just a real great time!

Saturday 2/12 Wharfratz @ Private Party - I sat in with the Wharfratz (Eddie and Jonathan). The Monsignor and Johnny were great hosts. Jonathan did a great job on drums and it was nice to play a little bass again. I was proud to be a rat for a night!

Sunday 2/13 "Just Dave" @ Finnegan's Wake, North Stage - I played Sundays at the Sunset Grille with a couple of different bands for years. Now I'm somewhere on AlA again (South, though). Frankie stopped by and played and sang. It was great. Shane and Karen have been a great help for me and my career. Thanks!

Good things happen to good people. Doors open for people who work hard and are honest. I wish the best for everyone no matter what it is you do. That's the way I fly. Keepin' It Real -David

Friday 2/3, "NorthStar" @ Finnegan's Wake - Had a blast! It was the only gig with NorthStar this week. Started out a little rusty, but in no time we were right back at it. Ed stayed here in St. Augustine to discuss more plans for the future. I'm looking forward to taking our music to fans all over the country! Thanks Woody and Curtis for stopping by. Great bass (Music Man), Curtis.

Saturday, "Just Dave" @ Finnegan's Wake - It was a little slow when the clock struck 7pm. I guess I could have waited a while but that's not the why I fly.
