January 10th - I worked on writing some credits, thank yous and song lyrics for The North Star Band website. 

January 12th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Tony and Frankie at Hurricane Grill and Wings - Sue is still a little under the weather but the show must go on. We were joined off and on tonight with Bill Mullen on sax and Brady Green and Laurence Stevenson on background vocals. It was a great night as most are at this great place. See you next Wednesday. Looking forward to the Queen Bee's come back tomorrow.

January 13th, Bagan and Company - We worked on our next The Big Lonesome release "Complicated World"  a Besley/Berardo song. We also talked about a show that might happen in April.

January 13th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at Pelican Landing - We had a great night! It was good to have Sue, the Queen Bee back! 

January 14th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at Otters On The Water - We were double-booked and the weather was bad so there was no first show at Otters On The Water, our second show on February 25th is also in question. Sorry folks we try to do the best we can to keep these things straight. Theresa, Jay and I met Kristen at the Mellow Mushroom to listen to One Good Ring. We heard their first set, they were on. The wings, pizza and beer were good too!

January 15th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at St. Augustine Fish House -It was a little chilly but bearable. At least the wind laid down. I really enjoyed listening to our harmonies tonight. Tony and Sue kicked butt as always and Frankie can sing!

January 16th, Aunt Kate's - Cancelled due to wind!

January 17th, Songwriters Night at Pelican Landing - I had a blast! Doug and Katherine kicked butt! It was good to be sitting next to Bob again. We had last month off. See you next month February 21st!

Looking forward to being in the studio at Retrophonics. I'm trying to finish writing my new song "My Last Rhyme" to record. If not, will work on The Big Lonesome next song "Too Tore Up" a song Gregg Chirico wrote! Also looking forward to getting together with Dan at Bagan and Company to work on "Complicated World" a Besley/Berardo song that will appear on The Big Lonesome project. January 1st, Happy New Year!! We met Brianna in Brunswick, Ga. where we dropped off Braylen and headed on to South Carolina to see my Dad and Margie. Theresa and I hung out to shoot the shit and have a nice lunch, then we were back on the road again. We made it home safe about 6pm. We watched an episode of Joe Pickett and later Yellowstone, life is good.

January 4th - Retrophonics Studios - Jim and I recorded 2 new songs for my Poor-dum project. "Shines A Light" and "The Hunter". We are now working on The Big Lonesome "The Big Lonesome Rides Again"  The Carpetbaggers "Say Grace" and my new solo "Poor-dum". Exciting times. 

January 4th, Bagan and Company "LIVE" - Sue wasn't feeling well, we really missed the Queen Bee and brother Wayne. Elizabeth Roth is very talented and did a great job. Frankie and Tony were kicking butt tonight! It was a real pleasure. Thanks Dan Bagan, Clay Blasser and Theresa Besley, we couldn't do it without you guys.

January 5th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Tony and Frankie at Hurricane Grill and Wings - We had a great night! It got cold a little later in the show but we made it! Hope you're feeling better Sue and brother Wayne!

January 6th, Bagan and Company - We worked more on The Big Lonesome cover. 

January 6th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Tony and Frankie at Pelican Landing - We had a great night! My two partners kicked butt! We missed Sue and hope to see her next week.

January 7th, 8th and 9th, DAVE at The Big Deck -  We had a great weekend! Theresa wasn't able to come with me this weekend, she wasn't feeling well, neither was Bryan. He was under the weather too. I hope they both get over their ailments soon. Jeff and Jennifer from Pelican Pub and the Pelican Landing were there with some of their friends. Thanks Bryan, Darlene and staff you guys are the best! See you next month!

Theresa has been under the weather along with Bryan in Cedar Key so I am going to cancel my session at Retrophonics this week just to be on the safe side. I'm still planning on Bagan and Company on Thursday to move The Big Lonesome along. Thanks for letting me live my dream! Keepin' It Real! -David

December 27th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue and Tony at San Sebastian Winery - Frankie wasn't able to make the gig because of a doctors appointment, but we played on and had a great time. The weather couldn't have been better, a great crowd, a great place. See you back here on February 5th! 

Also I had a zoom meeting with The North Star Band members getting ready for our release "Then and Now" a double CD 20 songs.

December 28th, Private Party - Mike and Rene were great hosts! We really enjoyed playing music for you both and everyone else. Maybe we will be back again before you guys leave in May.

December 29th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue and Tony at Hurricane Grill and Wings - We had a great night! The place was packed!

December 30th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at Pelican Landing - A lot of new faces out there. We made some new friends tonight!

December 31st, The Seiners at Wee Pub, Jekyll Island - I had a blast playing with my brother Ed and hanging out with Kristen, Theresa and Braylen. Happy New Year to all!!

I'm looking forward to getting into the studio with Jim, I have 2 new tunes to lay down "The Hunter" and "Shines A Light". I can't wait. Hopefully this week Dan and I will release another one of The Big Lonesome tunes either "Sweet River Girl" written by Wayne Johnston or "Complicated World" written by Marc Berardo and yours truly.
