January 27th, Retrophonics Studios - Jim and I worked on the mix for "Juke Joint By The River" a Big Lonesome tune written by Gregg Chirico. We have "To Tore Up" another Gregg Chirico song left to rough mix until Frankie gets the other tracks. I'm looking forward to getting George, Sue and Tony to help us finish the tracks.

January 28th - Wayne, Sue, Jim, Theresa and I went to se Robert Earl Keen Jr. at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. We met at Aunt Kate's for dinner before show. Good time, great music!

January 29th, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Hurricane Grill and Wings - George was out of town and Brady was late getting into town to take George's spot so Sue and I were on our own. It was  a pretty nasty night so we were in the tent. We had a nice crowd, I had a good time hangin' with Sue and making some music.

January 30th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Frankie, George and Tony at the Corner Bar - We had a packed house again. We were joined on several songs by the great Bill Mullen on sax. It was Rudy's birthday, Jim and Sheryl couldn't be there but they dropped off a few rum cakes. It was a blast! See you next week!

January 31st, February 1st and 2nd, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - First night I set up outside thought I could beat the weather, but I had to set up again inside (bad i-deer). It was quiet but nice, hoping the weather will get better for Saturday afternoon. Saturday was not much better, there were a few more folks though. I got to chat with Michael Howard who was playing after me. Sunday the weather still was bad, sunny but windy and cold, so I set up inside. I had Mike and Andrea from the Short Change Band stop by, it's always good to see my music friends.

I hope to keep moving on "The Big Lonesome Rides Again" at Retrophonics studio with Jim DeVito. Also I  will be at Bagan and Company with Dan Bagan finishing up our flash drive package for "Don't Stare At The Sun". Thanks for letting me live my dream! Stop texting, start talking! Don't liter! January 20th, Retrophonics Studio - Jim and I worked on a song I co-wrote with Chris McVey called "Don't Ever Let It Get You Down". I really like how the track is sounding. This is a project that has been long overdue. I can't wait for everyone to hear where we were in 2011. The Big Lonesome Rides Again!

January 20th, Songwriter's Night  at the Corner Bar - Bob and I had Elaine Mahon and Sharon Goldmam, there was a nice crowd. I really enjoyed the evening, I heard some great songs. It's always nice to hang out with my friend Bob each month. Our next guest will be Dave Rudolf and Mark Evans (February 17th)

January 22nd, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Hurricane Grill and Wings - It was a nasty night so we were set up in the tent. It was actually pretty nice in there. Abe has done a good job with the heaters. George was hanging out with his son Paul) in Atlanta. He will be back in 2 weeks. We had a nice crowd and some new faces, that's always good. We were celebrating a couple of birthdays (Jeanme Ray and Sheryl). Thanks everyone for coming down, you made it a fun night! See you next week.

January 23rd, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at the Corner Bar - The night was out of control! The place was packed! Thanks everyone for supporting Carpetbagger music! See you next Thursday. Brittany had a nice baby shower also.

January 24th, Bagan and Company - Dan and I put together the 6 videos we've done from "Live And A Little Touched" for my Dad. We also put together a flash drive of "Don't Stare At The Sun" for Sue so she can see if it does what it's supposed to do. We put"Al and Francine" on a flash drive for the Robert Earl Keen show. Hopefully we can get him to listen to it. One of his song inspired it.

January 24th, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - It looked like rain but I set up outside anyway. The rain never came, it turned out okay on the deck out by the river. See you next weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Thanks Brian, Dave, Tina and staff you guys are the best! Afterward I stopped by Creekside for a beer and saw John, Rick, Sony and Tom. Also saw Bill Mullen and Alice.

January 25th, Carpetbaggers; DAVE, Ed, Sue and Frankie at Creekside - It was a little chilly as the night went on but what a blast! We had a great crowd, everything went just right. Mark Richey stopped by it's the first time I really had a chance to hang out with him and his wife Sue. They are great folks. I'm going to try and get out and hear him play soon. Thanks Creekside see you tomorrow!

January 26th, Carpetbaggers; DAVE and Sue at Creekside - A little chilly but we set up outside anyway. It turned out to be a pretty good night we played until about 8:30 then it got to cold to play and pretty much everyone in the audience had given up to. We did try a new song "Confederate Lament" written by Besley/Reeves/Oja Dunaway.

Looking forward to continuing work on "The Big Lonesome Rides Again" with Jim DeVito. Also hope to work this week with Dan Bagan at Bagan and Company on our new flash drive package for "Don't Stare At The Sun", and get back to work on our new DVD/CD "Live And A Little Touched".
