January 18th, Retrophonics Studio - Jim and I worked on the mixing "Dust Them Blinds" and "My Tractor" the new CD "Back Again" is coming along. Later I went and set up for our Songwriter's Night at the Corner Bar. I was tired but it was a worth all that the night entails. Denny and Gary are really talented and interesting artists I felt really lucky to be sharing the stage with these two writers and also the great Bob Patterson. See you next month and thanks to all the folks that showed up to support "Live Original Music"


January 19th, DAVE at Pizzalley's at the Chianti Room - The weather was nice for this late afternoon gig on the porch downtown today. Come check out the best happy hour in town! See you next month!

January 20th, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Hurricane Grill and Wings - We had a nice time outside, it did get a little cold near the end. We tried a few new tunes, one original "You knew It" and two covers "The First Cut Is The Deepest" and "When You Say Nothing At All".  We made a few new friends, and that's what its all about. Thanks Abe, JJ and staff! See you next week!

January 21st, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie Corner Bar - We  had a fantastic night! This was a fun night! Thanks Jim and Sheryl for the wonderful rum cakes. It was good to see Don Oja Dunaway, Sandra, Martin, JC and Noel. Also great to see Dan and Suzy Bagan. Thanks everyone for supporting Carpetbaggers music. See you next week!

January 22nd - 24th, Thanks Ken and Tracey for putting us up at the North Beach Camp Ground. It's a great place and we had a great time. Thanks Jay Maville for all your help setting up. Thanks Randy at Mike's Place for taking care of our fishing needs and helping Braylen catch his first of many fish he caught. Thanks to all the great folks at Aunt Kate's where we had a wonderful dinner. The trip was short but sweet!



Looking forward to once again being in the studio at Retrophonics. We will be mixing today trying to get the songs ready for the following week for Frankie, Sue and I to do some background vocal tracks. We are also adding on some new venues, The Carpetbaggers will be back at the old Creekside, it's now St. Augustine Fish House and Oyster Co. in the near future. Thanks for letting me live my dream! January 11th, Retrophonics Studio - Jim and I worked on mixing "Dust Them Blinds", it's really sounding good!

January 12th, I'm not playing today but I worked this morning going through some audios from our "Live" FaceBook shows. I'm going to add four videos to my "Live and a Little Touched" project from these streaming shows. Hopefully it will be completed in the near future. Also going to get my truck worked on, give blood and have sushi. It's going to be a big day off. 

January 13th, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Hurricane Grill and Wings - It was cold so we set up inside the tent. We had a small but mighty crowd. We started an hour early 5pm to 8pm due to the cold. It seemed to work maybe we should do this during the winter. Abe you were right everyone was gone by 8pm. See you next time!

January 14th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Frankie and Tony at the Corner Bar - We had a great night! We did a complete instrumental "Penny Lane" one of my favorites.  Thanks Tony for bringing your version of this tune to the band. 

January 15th, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Tides Oyster Co and Grill - We always have a good night here. There is something about this place that works for us. Thanks Felicia and staff!

January 16th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue and Frankie - Zaharias - It was to cold, we had to cancel. See you next month!

January 17th, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - I played inside it was just to cold to be out by the water. It was a nice quiet afternoon. Thanks Brian, Dave, Tina and staff! You guys are the best.

It's been a busy week. I hated missing Zaharias due to the cold weather but I look forward to being back there next month. Along with Jim Devito I will be mixing today at the studio "Back Again" our soon to be new release from the Carpetbaggers. See you at Songwriter's Night tonight! Thanks for letting me live my dream! January 4th, Retrophonics Studios  - We worked on drum tracks with Frankie Urzetta on "Dust Them Blinds", "Come On" and "Back Again". All the drum tracks are done now. Great job Frankie!

January 5th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Frankie and Tony at The Classic Car Museum of St. Augustine streaming on Facebook via Bagan & Company "LIVE"  We had a great time! It was good to have Pete MelFi from "904 Now" join us. Dan, Clay, Theresa and Wayne are always the key to the success of this show.  Thanks to the Classic Car Museum of St. Augustine and all of our other wonderful sponsors.  See you next month!

January 6th, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Hurricane Grill and Wings - It was a little chilly so we set up under the tent and we had a nice evening.  It was a little quiet but still had fun. Thanks Abe, JJ and staff see you next week.

January 7th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Frankie and Tony at the Corner Bar - We had a great night! It is such a pleasure to play with this band. Thanks for supporting Carpetbaggers music.

January 8th, 9th and 10th, DAVE at The Big Deck Bar - It was a cold, cold weekend. I was surprised I had a pretty good turn out Friday and Saturday. It was a little slow and cold as you know what on Sunday so I was able to cut out a little early. Thanks Bryan, Darlene and staff I had a nice weekend in spite of the weather. See you all next month!

December 28th, Retrophonics Studios - We worked on the mix for "Confederate Lament".  I will be adding a post to my Facebook page sometime soon to let you hear a preview of what's in store on the Carpetbaggers new project "Back Again". I'm excited for everyone to hear what we have come up with. Thanks Jim DeVito at Retrophonics and all my band mates you guys are amazing!

December 30th, Carpetbaggers Dave and Sue at Hurricane Grill and Wings - Well, it was suppose to be a nice evening, but welcome to Florida, it rained. We had a great crowd anyway and the weather cleared up as the night went on. Sue and I tried  one of our new tunes "You Knew It". I always enjoy playing with Sue. Thanks Abe, JJ, Amy and staff you guys are the best!

December 31st, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Woody at the Corner Bar - We brought in the New Year early bird style, playing with my friends. We missed Frankie but Woody did a great job. Happy New Year everyone!

January 1st, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - I had a nice afternoon out on the porch by the water. When the weathers nice there's no place better! Thanks Brian, Dave, Tina and staff you guys are the best!

January 2nd, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at the San Sebastian Winery - We had a blast! This has been a good gig that we added onto our schedule. We will be here every first Saturday of the month. Thanks Tony for getting us this new venue. Thanks Kyle and staff!

January 3rd, DAVE at Aunt Kates - I had a great afternoon out on the porch by the water. Doug, Frank, and Philip stopped by. Thanks Brian, Dave, Tina and staff you guys are the best!

December 15th, DAVE at the Chianti Room - It was a little overcast and it got a little chilly as the afternoon went on. Tim Connors and his wife stopped by and a few others that haven't been out much lately. It was good to see everyone.

December 16th, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Tony at Hurricane Grill and Wings - Cancelled due to bad weather.

December 17th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Frankie and Tony at Corner Bar - It was a nice night playing with my friends. We missed Sue but Theresa, Brianna, Braylen and I will see her and Wayne tomorrow in Ellijay.

December 18th thru the 22nd - Ellijay Ga. with Wayne and Sue - We had a great time! Sue and Wayne were great hosts. Sue and I got started on a new song "You Knew It". We took a ride on a train and visited several of the small towns in the Georgia and Tennessee mountains. We had a lot of great food! It's was nice to see this part of the country. I'm ready to get back to work. 

December 23rd, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Hurricane Grill and Wings - We had a nice night, it was good to be back playing with Sue. Sue and I will see you next week same time same station.

December 27th, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - I thought it was going to be cold but turned out to be a nice sunny day out on the porch by the water. There's not a better place to have lunch or dinner on a nice day than Aunt Kate's. Thanks Brian, Tina, Dave and staff you guys are the best!

I'm looking forward to the studio this week. We're starting some mixes on "Back Again" our new Carpetbaggers CD. It looks like January is going to be pretty bus, we will have some new venues we are playing. So far 2021 looks like a good year for our music. Thanks for letting me live my dream!
