September 14th, Retrophonics Studios - Jim and I went through the tunes and made plans for future sessions. I'm hoping to have a new release for the Carpetbaggers "Back Again" and my new release "Live and a Little Touched" by Christmas.

September 15th - A Day OFF

September 16th, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Hurricane Grill and Wings - A nice night, nice breeze. It's good to be back playing with Sue as it's been a couple weeks.

September 17th, A Day OFF - Theresa and I stopped into Pelican Landing for a quick visit to see our friend Jen who's now working there.  We had a nice chat, a couple of cocktails and an appetizer.  It was nice to see her, it has been awhile.

September 18th, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Tides and Oyster Co. - What a great night, it may have been one our best listening audiences in a long time. You don't get many special evenings like it. Great job Sue. See you guys on the 3rd Friday of October it will be the16th.

September 19th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue and Frankie at Zaharia's - Cancelled due to rain. Bummer!

September 20th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Frankie and Tony at the Sing Out Loud Festival - It was a great show! The weather was nasty, the place we played was dry, but  muggy. Everyone was real nice and they did a great job. Thanks Bob Patterson for being instrumental in getting us this show. I hope to be back next year. Bob was told that we were to do only original music so we did that. Later we found out a  lot of folks were doing cover tunes. If I had of know that, we would have featured our percussionist and singer Frankie Urzetta (one of the best I have had the chance to share the stage with).  Tony Scozzaro and Sue Westcott were amazing as always. Theresa and Wayne were very helpful as always. Thanks to The Stetson Kennedy Foundation for being such great hosts! After the show Theresa, Sue, Wayne and I stopped at Woodpeckers Backyard BBQ to eat. We didn't see Lisa but her daughter waited on us. The food was great and we had a surprise visit from Frankie who stopped by to get some ribs takeout for himself, Mary and Argus.

August 31st, Retrophonics Studios - It was just Jim and I this week. I have been writing some new tunes and thought I would come in and lay them down. Jim and I were able to lay down three new tunes to get started on, for either my next CD or the Carpetbaggers next CD. The songs were "Train", "I'm Changing" and "But We Won't".  I've never thought I would get all three of these done in one day, but got lucky. Jim will be getting to work on the rough mixes of the twelve songs for our next CD "Back Again".

September 1st - I received the okay from Mayo! Clean bill of health!

September 2nd, Travel Day - Theresa and I stayed in Fayetteville NC, headed to Virginia, so far so good!

September 3rd thru 7th, Coles Point Tavern - It was a great weekend! Always good to see my Virginia friends, saw my DAD, Cecil and Joel and many others. Thanks AC for putirng us up and putting up with us, Thanks Randy for the use of your equipment and your help setting up and tearing down. Thanks Chris and Ann for having us play for you. And Mike and Stacey for having the best damn place on the rivah!  See you in December!
