September 28th and  29th, Trip to Canada - We had a very early flight with American Airlines to Charlotte and then to Toronto Canada. American Airlines was very slow with baggage check. We were a little worried about making our flight. After that, however, it was smooth sailing.  Love that TSA precheck! Things worked out and we had a safe flight through to Toronto. No problem through Customs. We arrived in Toronto at Lynn's and dropped our stuff off and rode with her to her favorite sushi place Rollian Sushi. It was some of the best we have ever eaten. I called Laurence and Barbara (we forgot to call when we first got in, sorry) and then hit the sack. The next day we woke up and Lynn had breakfast for us. Later we walked down to Yonge Street and checked out a little of the city. Laurence and Barbara showed up in the afternoon and set up for the House Concert. Then we had a wonderful dinner prepared by Lynn. The house Concert went great Lynn Westerhout and Jim Armour were great hosts. The folks that showed up were great. Laurence and I played them a couple hours of our music. I hope anytime we get in the Toronto area we can stop by and play some music for Lynn, Jim and all her wonderful friends.

September 30th, Northymberland 89.7 FM - Laurence and I woke up early to sit in on Jim Glover's radio show. It was good to see our friend and catch up. We had been there 2 years before with George Reeves. Jim is a good guy and also a Beatles fan so after playing "Change The World" we did a version of "Norwegian Wood" for him. I hope we get a chance to stop by Jim's Small Town Radio Show next time we are in town. Also thanks for the folks that request "Livin' In The Past".

September 30th, The Loft - I got in a bit early for a sound check. Our sound man was Steafan Hannigan (Uriah Heap), a very talented multi-instrumentalist also. Also we were going to have Joyce and Perry sit in at the end off our show. They turned out to be great folks. They had seen me play with Artimus Pyle in the 90's in Daytona and remembered the song "My Bird Still Ain't Talkin'" the minute we started it. Ken Prue was a great host and I hope we will be invited to play at this great venue when we are in Cobourg. Stopped by The Cat and Fiddle for a beer after the show with Laurence, Ken, Steafan, Joyce and Perry. We also would like to thank Jim Glover (89.7 FM) and Donna Brooks for catching our show at The Loft.

October 1st, Harbor Inn - Right down the street from Lawrence and Barbara's is a place called Harbor Inn, we played a couple years ago. We were supposed to return but they were pulling all the boats out of the marina and had no room for parking. That didn't stop us from stopping by and having a wonderful breakfast. It was good to see Jeni and Bill. I hope we can play for you the next time we are in town! We checked out a nice park, Presqu'ile Park and found some nice rocks out in front of Laurence and Barbara's house on the beach. Laurence and Barbara are going to bring them down to us when they come the end of October.

October 1st, 78 on Main - Lori and staff opened up their doors to us at the last minute when Harbor View realized their predicament. What a wonderful new place. We had bad weather so we had to set up inside. We had dinner (excellent) and got to play our music for some new folks. I hope we can stop by and play next time we are in town.

October 2nd, Thousand Islands - Laurence and Barbara treated us to a tour of The Thousand Islands. What a great way to end a wonderful road trip. After the ride home back to Laurence and Barbara's, we jumped in our rental car and headed for the Crown Plaza in Toronto. It was close to the airport for our early flight home. We had a couple of drinks and food at the bar. It was a  long fun day.

October 3rd, Back to the states - We flew Delta back, a much better airline in my opinion. Actually went through Atlanta to catch our flight to Jax and that even went good. Finally home it feels good.

It was a lucky day when I met Laurence and Barbara. I have enjoyed their company and friendship. Laurence is a very talented musician and I am proud to share the stage with him. Laurence and Barbara were great hosts and made sure I was very well taken care of. I appreciate your kindness and hope we can do this again. I would also like to thank my lovely wife Theresa who is always a blast to travel with. Thanks for letting me live my dream! Stop texting, start talking! Don't liter! Smile it might brighten someone's day, even your own! Early detection can save you life! Keepin' It Real! -David

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
