May 11th, NorthStar at Creekside - Ed was stuck in the airport coming home from Virginia and didn't make the gig. Brady, Frankie and I were NorthStar until Barry Dunaway (38 Special) showed up with his bass. What a great night! Thanks for sitting in Barry.  And thanks to the rest that support our music. See you June 8th!

May 12th - Jax - RFK - Dulles/ Dulles - Atlanta - Jax - My Grandmothers Funeral - My Grandmother, Daisy F. DeVane passed away. She would have been 100 years old in September. She had been sick for many years with dementia and hadn't known us for many years. She was a great lady and lived a long full life. She is in a better place now. My brother Will and I flew up for the service. She is buried in Winchester, VA. The same cemetery as Patsy Cline. We went out to dinner in Front Royal with the family and then went back to my dad's and went to bed. The next morning headed back to Dulles.  Everything has changed so much at home. I managed to get back to the airport on time. The trip up and back went smooth and it was good to hang with my brother.

May 13th, DAVE at Hurricane Grill and Wings - After all the flying around I felt a little crazy playing. I had a nice crowd and managed to get through it. Thanks JJ and staff you guys are the best!

May 14th, DAVE at Cave Canem Studios - We worked on our new live CD "Live At The Musideum". So far it looks like it's going to be 10 original cut's that George, Laurence and I played in Canada last summer. We also changed "Get Back in the Race" a little from"Mr. Song to Evil People". Dan Bagan from IAUGI Studios also stopped by and we shot the inside picture for my studio CD. We'll get together later this week and have one more picture taken at Dan's studio, then we can start putting everything together and head to S and L in Jax to get the CD's made.

May 14th, DAVE at Corner Bar - I had a nice night playing with my friend George Reeves! Kruz also did a nice set!

May 15th, DAVE at The Conch House - A nice breezy night! The best crowd yet! After packing up, a few of us went out to the lounge where Brady Reich was playing.  I heard some nice music!

May 16th, DAVE at Zaharias - George showed up which is always a treat. We had a nice crowd. This is has always been one of my favorite venues. Angelica and staff are always so terrific. Brent Byrd stopped by.  It's alway good to see this great singer and songwriter!

May 17th, DAVE at Marineland Farmers Market/ Big Ed's Birthday Party - I got some sun today! Picked up some cool stuff and played a little music. Thanks Julie and Sloan you guys are the best! Afterwards Theresa and I headed up to Jekyll Island to get one of the best Catfish Sandwiches at 685 Seafood (where I will be playing next week) and then went to Big Ed's 80th Birthday Party.

We hope to get the final shot's for the inside cover of "Mr. Song to Evil People" this week. Thanks for letting me live my dream! Early detection can save your life! Give someone a smile it could change both of your days! Stop texting, start talking! If you see a piece of trash on the beach or on the ground pick it up, do your part! Keepin' It Real!!!!!  -David

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
