June 13th, NorthStar at Creekside - It was Eddie, Brady, Frankie and I. A little sound system failure but only slowed us down for a few minutes. I really enjoy getting together with this crew! Come see NorthStar on July 11th at Creekside. Mark it on your calendar!
June 14th, NorthStar at Oasis - Tonight NorthStar was Brent Byrd and I. This was the first time I've done a gig with Brent. We have shared the stage on songwriters nights but never a 3 1/2 hour tour. It was a real pleasure sharing the stage with this talented dude. Hope we can do it again sometime.
June 15th, DAVE at Hurricane Grill and Wings - The rain held off and I had a nice evening. Steve Beck stopped by.
June 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th - We had a blast! We started off getting a tour from Catherine at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe. Thanks for putting the tour together Marcia. Then it was off to Anna Marie Island. Chuck and Dara were a lot of fun. I got started on a new tune with Chuck "#46 or 47 Do I Ever Cross Your Mind". We also had some time to check out some area clubs and and restaurants. There was a whole lot of looping going on. We always have fun spending time here. Chuck is going to try to get all the Fairview guys and gals together over there. I hope it happens!
I talked to Barry when I got home. It was good to hear from my rocking buddy. I hope to get together with Michael Howard and work on our new tune. Thanks for letting me live my dream! Don't Litter! Stop texting, start talking! Smile it might brighten someones day, even yours! Early detection can save your life! Keepin' It Real! -David

June 6th, DAVE at Coquina Surf Club - This was going to be my first night playing outside but a tropical storm changed my plans. Still, I had a nice evening inside and a surprisingly crowded night for the conditions.
June 7th - DAVE at the Chianti Room - It was hot!!! The hours have changed to 4-7pm, that should make it a little cooler. Come by and check out the best happy hour in town!
June 8th - DAVE at Hurricane Grill and Wings - It was a nice evening out on the sidewalk. Thinned out about 8:30 pm so I decided to call it an early night. By the time I got packed out it was packed again. You never know. Also had a visit from Elizabeth Ross!
June 9th - DAVE at the Corner Bar - It's always fun playing Thursday's with Brady Green! We had a guest cellist player sit in, Stephan. Enjoyed it. I will be out of town next Thursday. See you in two weeks.
June 10th, 11th and 12th - DAVE at The Big Deck Raw Bar - There is never a dull moment at this great venue. I always look forward to the trip across the state to hang out for the weekend. Bryan, Darlene and staff are alway so great to us. We always look forward to catching up with Pete and Pat. See you guys July 8th, 9th and 10th.
I hope to get together with my friend Michael Howard and work more on our new tune "Get Me Out Of This Dream". I also hope to get in touch with Barry Dunaway (Sorry to hear about Newt). It's going to be a short week in town. Can't wait to get over to Holmes Beach and chill out! Thanks for letting me live my dream! Stop texting, start talking! Smile it will brighten everyones day, even your own! Don't litter! Early detection can save your life! Keepin' it Real!!!! -David

May 24th - DAVE at Coquina Beach Surf Club - It was a nice evening. Starting next week I will be setting up and playing outside.
May 25th, DAVE at Hurricane Grill & Wings - George and Deborah Reeves were back for a short stay. He sat in with me tonight and played acoustic guitar. I also had a visit from Barry and Lydia Dunaway! A fine time on the sidewalk this week.
May 26th, Travel day to Virginia - Theresa and I left about 4 am for the Northern Neck. Pretty smooth trip. We had some fun with "Traveling Dave" on the way. Cheapest gas was our fill up down the street in St. Augustine (that's a first). Arrived about 4 pm. Theresa took one of Randy's vehicles and headed for Northern VA to visit her family for a couple of days. I had dinner at the Back Draft with Randy, Mike Rowsee, Joel, Richard and Barbara. It's always good to see Jay and Annie. The food was great! Later headed down to The Tavern for a couple beers.
May 27th, DAVE at Coles Point Tavern - The first of 4 gigs. Woke up and did a walk, then went down to set up for the gig. It's nice to play at places where the folks know your music (Cedar Key, Jekyll Island and Cashiers NC included). It was a great time as always. Chris, Ann and staff were the best. Thanks Chris and Ann for putting Theresa and I up and putting up with us. Cecil Tarman was in the house! Stopped by and saw Matt's band Lickity Splitz play at Tim's!
May 28th, DAVED at Coles Point Tavern - Up early and did my walk. I went by Scott's old house where we used to stay (The Hackers, The Big Lonesome & NorthStar). I also walked by Rick's house (Yoko Says No & Ethyl), then headed for Coles Point Marina to see Donna and Bill. We made plans to do some writing but both of us are pretty busy, I hope it works out. A nice afternoon reading, relaxing and I started a new tune. The night was a blast! Crab Cake sandwich was unbelievable!
May 29th, DAVE at Coles Point Tavern - I had another nice walk. I did some reading. Theresa's back from her visit. We went to The Rowsee's for a cookout before I played. Thanks Mike, Sandy and Randy! I had a blast playing an afternoon gig! My family was in town too! We missed Margie, she was under the weather. Later started the night with Ethyl (Ed, Scott, Rick & Randy). We did Folsom Prison, Hardscrabble and Goose Creek. Cecil was in the house!
May 30th, NorthStar at Coles Point Tavern - Spent the afternoon with brother Ed. What a nice way to finish a wonderful weekend! Hit the last note and headed down the road (Theresa, Brianna, Braylen and I) We arrived safe at home about 6 am.
I would like to thank Chris and Ann at Coles Point Tavern for taking care of us. Also Randy Watts, he is the reason we are here. Thanks for letting me live my dream! Stop texting, start talking! Don't litter! Smile it could brighten someones day, even yours! Early detection can save your life! Keepin' It Real! -David
