August 25 - September 1, 2025 - Virginia - Theresa and I had fun visiting with our families in Virginia It's a long drive but we're learned to split it up. We hope to get back up that way in late December.

September 3, 2025 I was off so we met Barry and Lydia for dinner. It was great to hang out, it's been a minute.

September 4, 2025 Bagan and Company - Dan and I worked on Al's song "California Bound". We came up with some new ideas for a couple new projects.

September 4, 2025 DAVE and Sue at Oasis Tiki Bar - We had a great evening at the Tiki Bar. It's been a week or so since we played together. I'll see you back here for Songwriter's Night on September 16th.

September 5, 2025 DAVE at Aunt Kate's - It was  a nice warm afternoon out on the porch by the water. I'm not sure it will be the same for Sunday but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

September 6, 2025 Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue and Frankie with special guest Mickey Adams at Hurricane Grill and Wings - Mickey did a great job! It started to rain when we were about ready to quit. Thanks for supporting the Carpetbaggers.

September 7, 2025 DAVE at Aunt Kate's - Almost made it then the rain came.  See you in 2 weeks!

Tony decided to leave the band. We wish him the best of luck in whatever he does. We will be a 3 piece for awhile at Hurricanes with some guests every now and then until we find the right person for the band. Happy birthday Frankie! looking forward to what the future holds for The Carpetbaggers. Keepin' it Real! -David

August 18, 2025 Retrophonic's Studios - Jim, Johnny and I worked on some Project #6 mixes. Jim was working the hardest. After going to watch Braylen's baseball game I had a Zoom meeting with The North Star Band. Our next release and video will be a song Chris McVey and I wrote "She's Like An Angel".

August 19, 2025 Songwriter's Night at Oasis Tiki Bar - Great night! Dewey, Bret, Sue and Alex kicked butt! We missed Bob!

August 20, 2025 Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue Tony and Frankie at Hurricane Grill - A great evening, but boy it was HOT!

August 21, 2025 Bagan and Company - Dan and I shot a video of me singing "She's Like an Angel" for the next North Star Band release. Jim Robeson will take all the videos we send and do his magic. We also worked up an idea for Al Johnson's  tune "California Bound".

August 21, 2025 DAVE at Pelican Pub - Bike Night! I had a blast! It was good to see Jeff and Jennifer. See you in September!

August 23, 2025 I was off today but worked on a tune that Wayne started writing to see if I can help him finish.

August 24, 2025 Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue and Frankie - Private Event

August 4, 2025 Retrophonics Studios - Jim and I worked on mastering "The Way It Is" and "I Got Lucky" (2 down 8 to go). Can't wait to start #7 Shines a Light.

August 6, 2025 DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at Hurricane Grill - I had a good start to the evening but got rained out at about 6:30. Thanks to all the folks that were there to the end.

August 7, 2025 DAVE and Sue at the Oasis Tiki Bar - Sue and I had a wonderful warm evening at The Oasis. Thanks to all the folks who showed up. 

August 9, 2025 I finished "If She Asks"

August 10, 2025 DAVE at Aunt Kate's - I finished before the storm! Nice afternoon out on the porch by the water. 

August 11, 2025 No studio today. it's  Jim and Nancy's anniversary. Happy Anniversary Jim and Nancy.

August 13, 2025 Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at Hurricane Grille and Wings - Once again the threat of rain but it  never came. It turned out to be a nice evening but hot. See you guys next week!

August 14, 2025 DAVE and Sue at The Press - It was a wonderful night. Sue and I have found yet another great place to share our music. Thanks Scott and staff.  And Jessica your skills as a chef are unmatched. 

August 15, 2025 Bagan and Company - Dan and I worked on release ideas for "Sweet Country Women" for the new North Star Band release. We also worked on "Shines A Light" the cover for my next effort.

August 15, 2025 DAVE and Sue at Tides and Oyster Bar - We had a great night! This is one I look forward to. We did "If She Asks" a new tune I just finished writing.

August 16, 2025 I was off today so Theresa and I went out to Sue and Wayne's to pick up our camper and bring it home. I started on a new song Wayne wrote the lyrics along with AI's chord suggestions, I'm going to complete it for him.

August 17, 2025 DAVE at Aunt Kate's - It rained twice before I could hit a note. The clouds kind of hung out over head so we called it. I don't think it rained again after I left, figures.

We might be done with the mastering of Project #6. I will know when I get to the studio this morning. I'm looking forward to starting on Shines A Light my next adventure. Thanks for letting me live my dream!!! Keepin' It Real! -David

July 21, 2025 Retrophonics Studios - Jim and I worked on mixes for  "Making Rainbows" and "Another Day" should start mastering next week!

July 22,2025 DAVE at Chianti Room - It was a nice and hot afternoon on the porch by the parking lot. There wasn't a lot of folks but had a great time playing for those that were there. 

July 23, 2025 Bagan and Company - Dan and I worked on a picture to go along with Lou's "My Life's Going By Too Fast" and a cover for my next CD "Shines A Light". 

Carpetbaggers' DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie played at Hurricane Grill. There was a threat of rain so we set up under the roof section. A couple of sprinkles so folks were able to sit out side. Nice evening just hot as hell!

July 25, 2025 No gig today but I started a new tune "Reach".

July 28, 2025 Retrophonics Studios -  Jim and I worked on 3 final mixes "I Got Lucky", "Remember Me" and "Ride Like The Wind".

July 28, 2025 DAVE at the Chianti Room - It was a real hot day a few folks braved it. Thanks Chianti Room, see you maybe in September.

July 30, 2025 Bagan and Company - Dan and I got Lou's "My Life's Gone By To Fast" together for release for The North Star Band and worked on an idea for my next effort Shines A Light. 

Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue played at Hurricane Grill and Wings - Frankie was under the weather and Tony was out of town so it was Sue and I. It was hot as hell but we made it to the end. Thanks for sweating it out with us everyone. Sue, Frankie and I will be at Hurricanes this Saturday from 6 to 9pm and we should have the whole gang here next Wednesday.

July 31, 2025 OFF - The North Star Band released a YouTube video of "Burn Our Bridges". Our second release from the new CD.

August 1, 2025 DAVE Aunt Kate's - Hot! Hot! Hot! Thank goodness there was a little breeze. Thanks everyone who sat out on the porch by the water! See you Sunday!

August 2, 2025  Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue and Frankie at Hurricane Grill - Threatening rain so we set up under cover but we got no rain. It was a hot fun evening. We had a lot of family in the audience.

August 3, 2025 DAVE at Aunt Kate's I made it to 2pm before it cooled down and the wind started to blow. The weather came in slowly and with the help of the staff I got my equipment out of the rain and was even able to get it in the truck. When I came back in to say goodbye and thank everyone it started to pour. I got soaked! See you next Sunday!

I'm looking forward to the final stages of Project #6 (mastering). I have a dozen or so tunes to demo. I will also start working on my new effort Shines A Light. Thanks for letting me live my dream!!!  Keepin' It Real!!-David

July 7, 2025 Retrophonics Studios - It was Jim and I this session, we mixed "Front and Center" and getting closer to completing Project #6. I'm looking forward to my next adventure Shines a Light.

July 9, 2025 Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at Hurricane Grill and Wings - It pretty much rained the whole time. We still had a nice crowd. Thanks for supporting Carpetbagger's music. See you next Wednesday!

July 10, 2025 Bagan and Company - Dan ordered the inserts for Project #6. We also worked on the picture for the release of "She's Like An Angel" a North Star Band tune I wrote with Chris McVey.

July 12, 2025 Braylen's Allstar Tournament - Won the first one after a long rain delay and then lost to Lake Mary who became the Champs. Long day for us all. They played well.

July 13, 2025 OFF - I finished a new tune "Sleep Well Tonight".

July 14, 2025 Retrophonics Studios - Jim and I went through a bunch of the new tunes and touched them up. We are ready to master next week hopefully!

July 14, 2025 DAVE at JT's Hammock Grill - It was a nice night at Had a nice night, Walt (Those Guys) and Jill were there having dinner with some friends. It was nice to see them both and thanks for hanging out for a bit.

July 15, 2025 Songwriter's Night at the World Famous Oasis Tiki Bar - It was raining a little when I was setting up but the weather cleared and it turned out to be a nice evening. Thanks to the songwriters that shared the evening with Bob and I. Alana and Joe did a great job. See you back here August 19th!

July 17, 2025 Bagan and Company - Dan and I finished "She's Like An Angel" the new North Star Band song I wrote with Chris McVey. Project #6 art is getting real close to completion. I'm ready to start on my new effort Shines A Light all coinciding with my projects at Retrophonics. 

July 17, 2025 DAVE and Sue at The Press - It was a very nice evening. Jessica and staff made some wonderful dishes for everyone. Thanks Scott for having us, see you on August 14th!

July 19, 2025 We celebrated Brianna's Birthday (it was yesterday) with dinner this evening at our favorite sushi place. I started on a new tune, calling it "Reach".

June 30, 2025 Retrophonics Studios - Jim got a  current mix on 6 of the 10 tunes for Project #6. Next week Jim should start mastering while Johnny and I finish up a new tune we are writing called "Calculated Risk". 

June 30, 2025 Chianti Room - I covered a show for Tony. It was good to see Doug Hyde and friends. 

July 1, 2025 Off today but I started on a new tune that I'm calling  "Sleep Well" for now.

July 2, 2025 Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at Hurricane Grill and Wings - We had a great evening even with the rain. Thanks Abe, Albert and staff you guys are the best! 

July 3, 2025 Dan and I worked on the layout for Project #6. We also started getting more ideas for "She's Like An Angel", a song that Chris Mcvey and I wrote that will appear on the new North Star Band release. 

July 3, 2025 DAVE and Sue at The World Famous Oasis Tiki Bar - It threatened rain but we got lucky. What a great night at the Oasis Tiki Bar!

July 4, 2025 DAVE at Aunt Kate's - Happy Independence Day! It was fun, but hot Independence Day. It was good to see JC, Noelle and Sydney from the St. Augustine Classic Car Museum.

July 5, 2025 - Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue and Frankie at Hurricane Grill and Wings - A threat for rain but it's always that way this time of year. We had a nice dry evening. Thanks for hangin' out with us on a Saturday at Hurricane's.

June 23, 2025 Retrophonics Studios - Jim mixed "In-Between", "The way It Is" and I replaced the vocal on "Remember Me". Johnny and I worked on our new song "Calculated Risk".

June 24, 2025 Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue , Tony and Frankie at Fuzion 904 - We had a great night, our last for awhile at Fuzion 904. These are some great folks that run this place, I hope things work out for them in the future.

June 25, 2025 Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at Hurricane Grill and Wings - It was HOT! But, we had a nice evening at Hurricane's. Thanks to all that showed up. See you next Wednesday!

June 26, 2025 Bagan and Company - Dan and I worked on the layout for Project #6. We also put together pictures of all the releases I want to frame.

June 28, 2025 It's my Birthday. We had dinner at Corner Sushi. It's our favorite for celebrating.

June 29, 2025 DAVE at The Boathouse - Lightning hit a Magnolia tree on the deck, too dangerous to play. See you November 30th.
