Thursday, 1/13, "JUST DAVE", The Corner Bar - Once again I would like to thank Felicia and staff (Deana and Nick) for making it such a enjoyable evening. Thursday's are shaping up nicely. The food is excellent here. Stop in, you won't regret it!!

Friday, 1/14 AM, Eclipse - Studio time this morning with Jim Stafford. I sang "Hopeless Romantic" and "Yesterday is Gone". Lead vocals done. Need Woody in on three more percussion parts, need Kurt for a couple hours, then Mike Howard for background vocals and this project will be complete!

PM, "JUST DAVE", Finnegan's Wake - I had a great time! Always nice to have friends and familiar faces stop by, but just as nice to see new ones. This has always been one of my favorite venues. Excited for Saturday, playing here with my brother Ed (our duo, NorthStar).

Saturday, 1/15, "NORTHSTAR", Finnegan's Wake - This was a NorthStar gig so I was already looking forward to playing with Eddie. Then Frankie (Those Guys) called me, he wanted to come and play some. Now I'm really excited. We had a fantastic night!!! It was good to spend an evening with Frankie and Mary again. I really enjoy Ed and Frankie's company, but then to play great music too...it doesn't get any better than that. Thanks Shane, Karen, Courtney, Andrew and staff, as always it was a great time. Looking forward to doing it again soon!!

I really think solo "JUST DAVE" and duo "NORTHSTAR" is a better fit for me. I'm so loving it!!! I feel more comfortable performing my songs in this setting. I guess this makes sense because that is how most of my music is written. I know I say this all the time, but it is true, and comes from the bottom of my heart. THANKS EVERYBODY FOR SUPPORTING MY MUSIC ALL THESE YEARS!!! It is because of YOU that I can continue to do it. "Keepin' It Real" - David

See you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday, January 2, Jaguars football, relaxed and packing for camping trip.

Monday - Thursday, January 3-6, I think it was our nicest camping spot yet. We (Theresa, Penny Lane and myself) met up with the Dunaway crew (Barry, Lydia, Noggiin @ Abbey) at Fort Desoto (St. Pete). The place was beautiful, the weather was perfect and no bugs! Had the chance to hang out with Julie and Kyle (friends of Barry and Lydia)and had some awesome Italian food at Tony and Nelos. Also, Dave's life long friend Chuck Caudill stopped by the campsite one evening for a cookout. I think there is yet another Fairview Gang reunion in the making. The trip was a whole bunch of fun!

Thursday, January 6 (PM), The Corner Bar - Had a great night! Jim Dunaway (manager to Those Guys and The Hackers, also known as Cheif Thundermug or Chick Magenet) stopped by along with a host of other friends. This is a great place, I'm so lucky to have everyone stop in to hear my music! I thank everybody from the bottom of my heart!

Friday & Saturday, January 7 & 8, SeaJay's, Jekyll Island, GA - Theresa, Penny and I left for Georgia Friday afternoon. Things were a little slow at the gig, but the folks that were there made it a lot of fun. Thanks Tommy and staff for taking such good care of us!

I am so sorry to hear about my friend Tommy's passing. The news was really tough to take. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Also my old friend Alan, you were always very kind to me. God bless you both. "Keepin' It Real" - David

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, December 27, Hurricane Patty's - It was a Hacker's night! Everyone kicked butt. All the usual suspects were present and accounted for. Since Jim's departure Frankie is back into the fold. The new faces were Dave on percussion and Wayne on guitar, vocals and harp. We had a great crowd! I always look forward to this gig. Thanks everyone for supporting the Hackers.

Tuesday, December 28, Tokyo Tai - Theresa, Brianna and myself went for Sushi. GREAT SUSHI!

Wednesday, December 29, Captain Stan's - The Captain wasn't here tonight. His mother is very sick. Beth and crew did great. As usual it was cold as hell, but we had a nice crowd and a nice dinner afterwards. We missed you Captain Stan!

Thursday, December 30, The Corner Bar - Great evening! Did a 3 hour set, afterwards spoke with Levi and Michelle who mentioned that in that 3 hours, I played only 3 cover tunes. Had a blast. See you every Thursday at the Corner Bar!! Thanks Felisha!!!

Friday, December 31, Hurricane Patty's New Years Eve Party - What a great night! This was one of the best New Years Eve gigs I've play in awhile. And it's been awhile since I've played one. It was good to bring in the new year with my friends. Thanks everyone! Also special thanks to Mike, Dewey and Denny for sitting in.

I've spent the last part of 2010 trying to be involved with more positive situations, and hope to continue on this path for the future. I am excited about the new year and hope for only good things for everyone. If you're with me lets try to make life a little brighter. If your not, here's a title of a song from my new CD "Hopeless Romantic" that says it all (written by Barry Dunaway and myself) "See You Later So Long". Keepin' It Real - David

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday, December 21, Harry's "JUST DAVE" - I was a little pre-occupied at first, anxious about my all night drive north to Wednesday's gig in Virginia, but it turned out to be the best Harry's gig so far!!! So many great people and certainly a great time! I'm glad I booked this gig. Thanks Rob Peck!! I'm back again January 25th, looking forward to seeing everybody.

Wednesday, December 22, Lucky Star Lounge "NORTHSTAR" - It was tough going (Theresa, Penny and me), a tired drive. It was worth it however, the place was packed when we showed up for the gig! I had the best time!!! Saw a lot of friends I don't see much. Thanks Jim Miner for sitting in, hoping to work Pat in on some songs next trip. What a blast!

Thursday, December 23, Hardscrabble - Spent the whole day on the mountain with Penny and Pickett. Had a great dinner with Rhett and Pete. Overall a nice relaxing day.

Friday, December 24 Christmas Party, Coles Point Tavern "NORTHSTAR" - What a blast! Scott and Rick (Yoko Says No) had learned 12 of our songs. The drummer for "Diesel" sat in too. My cousin Jason also played great. Special thanks to Scott and Randy for bringing us up for their party. Also special thanks again to Scott and Rick (Yoko Says No) for doing such a spectacular job on our songs. We've got to do this again! Thanks, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone who showed up and got me as drunk as I've been in a while. We can't wait until next time!!

This was such a great holiday! Played music with some new folks and with my brother Eddie. Relaxed some. Great food with Theresa's family and then my Dad and Margie. It looks like it's going to be a great new year!!! Look out for my new CD "Hopeless Romantic" and NorthStar's "Keepin' It Real" CD hopefully by spring with some other new things happening. We'll keep you posted as they unfold. Happy New Year Everybody!!!!!! - David "Keepin' It Real"

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, 12/13 "Sushi with Gregg Chirico" - I treated Gregg to sushi. It was his belated birthday present. It was good to spend some time with my friend.

Wednesday, 12/15 NorthStar @ Capt. Stan's - These are such nice people. I mean everyone that works here. I don't mind traveling a little when I play for folks like this. It's worth it! It was cold and not too many people, but we played good, and as always, had a great time!!! Thanks Capt. Stan, Beth and staff. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Year! See you in the new year! And thanks Ed, you did great!

Thursday, 12/16 AM Eclipse - Singing some tracks today, then starting to put all the tracks together to see what we have. I'm excited about nearing the end of this project, Hopeless Romantic. Then we can start concentrating on NorthStar's, Keepin' It Real CD.

12/16 PM - "Just Dave" @ The Corner Bar - It was a good first gig! Not packed but had a few people show up. Felicia and staff seem real nice. See you guys in two weeks (Thurs,12/30 5-8pm). Come and check the place out. Use to be the Comedy Club next to Gypsy Cab, St. Augustine.

12/17 - NorthStar @ Zachry's - Ed and myself had a great night! The crowd was really into it. We've know the owner for years. This is one gig I hope works out. We want to do well for good people.

12/18 - Christmas Party - Once again the event of the year! Great food (especially my favorite crab dip), great people, great time! Looking forward to next year...you know who you are!!!

I was having a beer with Shane and Karen after my last gig at Finnegan's Wake, they're always very supportive of my music and always let me know how much they enjoy it. When Shane said "Dave, you're entertaining like everyone else that plays here, but what makes you different is that you're doing it with mostly your own music". I was never more proud. If I had a choice to be a great singer, a great player or a great writer, I'd choose the later. I was 13 when I finished my first song that my sister thought would make me a big star. I'll never forget that feeling and everytime someone requests one of songs, it happens all over again. Even after all these years, somethings just don't change. Keepin' It Real -David

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday, 12/7 Eclipse Holiday CD Release Party - What a fabulous time! Performed with some great people. Thanks Jim Stafford and Woody Pernell for sitting in with me on "Jesus and Me" (the new song I wrote for the Holiday CD). The only way the song could have sounded any better would have been if Ed Pickett (brother and partner) could have been there with us. Hung out with Darryl Wise and Mike Shackelford, hopefully we'll be doing some things in the future.

Wednesday, 12/8 Zachry's cancelled due to COLD weather.

Friday, 12/10 Crosbys Seafood House - This was a NorthStar gig. Man, it was packed and we had such a blast! We'll be back in January! Thanks everybody!

Saturday, 12/11 Finnegan's Wake, "Just Dave" - A small, but mightly crowd and I had a blast! There's no better feeling in the world than to play your music for owners who are like Shane and Karen. They really believe in you and truly enjoy your music. It's special and I would go a long way for these nice people. Thanks for a fun night. I can't wait to get back there again!

Had another great week, things are still a little slow. Had a few really great gigs though. Thanks everyone for supporting my music. It really means the world to me and Ed. There are some new venues coming up and some new orginial music on the horizon. As always, Keepin' It Real -David

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, 11/29 The Hackers @ Hurricane Patty's - It was a GREAT night! Everyone played great. Chris C4man sat in. He did a great job. It looks like we booked New Years Eve here at Hurricane Patty's, so make your reservations.

Tuesday, 11/30 "Just Dave" was suppose to be at Oasis, but something went wrong with the scheduling. See you in February Oasis. Talked with Peter Bonta today (Rosslyn Mountain Boys, Mary Chapin Carpenter) He is a real pro. Sent him my 1st solo CD.

Wednesday, 12/1 NorthStar @ Captain Stan's - The third coldest gig I've played, the first two were also played here. We had a little crowd though. Thanks everyone, Capt. I hope you feel better. We missed you!

Thursday, 12/2 Eclipse - In the studio doing a bass track for "Get Back in the Race" from the new NorthStar CD "Keepin' It Real" and guitar on "Is This Love Real" for my new solo CD "Hopeless Romantic". Got both tracks, it was a good day!

Friday, 12/3 "Just Dave" @ Shaughnessy's - What a great night! Had a blast! Good crowd! This is what I love doing and everyone there helped me do it. Thanks everybody! After my gig, Theresa and I went down to Cortesses to see Mr. Natural. They sounded great! I sang a Johnny Cash song and sang backup on Purple Rain. These guys were fun to watch. I'm going to miss Jim. He's a great singer and player and has become a good friend over the years. I wish him all the luck in the world on his new adventure.

Saturday, 12/4 NorthStar @ Zachry's - It was a cold and kind of a slow night! We played on and things got a lot better. This is a new gig for us, playing for some old friends. Everyone was real nice. I hope this works out, with all the good people involved, it should.

It was a great week! It was a little slow but it's slow around here this time of year. A lot of good things are happening and I'm excited about it all. Thanks again to everyone who stopped by to see "Just Dave" or "NorthStar" this week. It really means so much to us! Keepin' It Real - David

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
