Tuesday, August 16th, Dave @ The World Famous Oasis - It was my first Dave gig since Virginia trip.  Had a couple of people of that came out.  I'm still having trouble with my guitar, but I have a back up.  The gig went good it was a little slow but just enough people came to see me and that made it worth it!  Hopefully, I'll see some folks on Thursday.

Wednesday, August 17th, NorthStar @ Captain Stan's - It was a good night behind the magic fence.  The Captain was a little off his game and the place looks to him to control the evening.  It was still a good night.  Ed seemed tired but hung in there like a pro.  Good job everybody, see you next time!

Thursday, August 18th, AM Eclipse - Did some work on Yankee Lady.  I'm real proud of this CD and thanks Jim for all the had work you've put into this project.

PM - Dave @ The Corner Bar - What a night!  This is a good listening room and I enjoy playing here.  Kruz did a great job!  Rusty stopped by said he would come by next week to sit in.  Thanks for having my back Nick!  The next two weeks I'll be playing 5-8 pm due to the pre-season football games.  Thanks again everyone for coming out!

Friday, August 19th, Dave@ SeaJay's - Not real crowded, but had a good time.  After my gig I went and saw Mr. Natural.  They were playing at Latitude 31.  They sounded good.  It's was nice to see my friends.  Thanks Tommy and staff at SeaJay's you guys are the best!  See you next weekend.

Saturday, August 20th, NorthStar @ Latitude 31 - I showed up to see Eddie "solo" at his afternoon gig.  He did some real nice stuff.  Then unfortunately it ended up we, "NorthStar with Frankie" had been double booked and were cancelled for the evening gig.  We had a chance to hang around for a few and then called it a night and Frankie and I headed home.  Thanks Ed for a great weekend.  Thanks Kristen.

Looking forward to "The Big Lonesome" rehearsal on Monday.  Gregg has a new song "To Tore Up To Tear Down".  Keepin' It Real -David

Friday, August 12th, NORTHSTAR @ Coles Point Tavern - Carla decided to have us set up in the front.  What a great idea!  We had a blast even though I was having guitar trouble.  Ed pulled me through it!  Thanks Randy, Scott, Carla and staff, we had a great time!

Saturday, August 13th, NORTHSTAR @ Guiseppe's - We were suppose to be upstairs, then it was outside, then it was back in the bar where we had originally set up.  We had a nice crowd.  Ed and I would like to thank Ellen Winston from Fauquier National Bank for making it possible to play the gig.  Also we'd like to thank Joe, Josi and staff for treating us so good.  And last but not least Daddy Frank and Rev. Jimmy Jones for sitting in.  A fun night overall.

Sunday, August 14th, NORTHSTAR @ Thorton River Grille - Andy and staff are the greatest!  This is a great place to play.  The weather was a little threatenin, but it never really broke loose so we kept on playing.  Thanks everyone!

This was a good road trip.  It's great to be home though.  I'm meeting with Jim Stafford this week to start moving on my "Hopeless Romantic" cd and Northstar's "Keepin' It Real",  -David

Thursday, August 4th, Dave @ The Corner Bar - The best crowd I think I've had here.  Thanks Kruz!  Thanks Pat, Nick and Nanna!

Friday, August 5th, NorthStar @ Seajay's Benefit for Billy and Ron - Not a huge turn out but it was great to see Jim and Sheryl show up from St. Augustine.  We raised money for the Billy and Ron who were injured in a bad car accident and signed cards for both.  Hope it helps!

Saturday afternoon, August 6th, Dave solo @ Latitudes 31 - It was hot as hell, but turned out great!   Thanks to the great staff at Latitude 31.

Saturday evening, August 6th, Dave solo @ SeaJay's - I was wore out after the first gig today, but got a second wind and had a big crowd to help me though the 2nd part of my day.  Thanks Tommy and staff!

Sunday, August 7th, Dave solo at Zaharias - Had a rain out, but had fun anyway.  Hung out for a while with Renee and Bruce, Kevin and Claudia, Dave and Jim.  If you made an attempt to come out, I apologize.  Mother nature rules the outside gigs!

Monday, August 8th, The Big Lonesome @ Hurricane Patty's - What a great night!  We still didn't have the whole band there, but Ed and Wayne more than held down the solo's.  Everyone played hard.  This is a fun band.  We added a new song that Wayne wrote "Sweet River Girl".  It's a perfect fit for The Big Lonesome.  I'm excited about the Virginia trip in September.  Thanks everyone at Hurricane Patty's, you all were great!

It was a great week.  I'm looking forward to my next adventure!  Thanks everyone for your support!  Keepin' It Real - David

July 25th, The Hackers at Hurricane Patty's - The gig went great.  Had a lot of fun.  Looking forward to The Big Lonesome gig here on August 8th.

July 26th, Dave at The World Famous Oasis - One of my best nights ever!  Sometimes this can be a challenging room.  I tried a few new ideas that seemed to work out okay.  Can't wait to try it with NorthStar.

July 27th, NorthStar at Rambler's - The gig was cancelled so we just headed north a little earlier than expected.  We later received an apology for the mix up, so if Ed says it's okay, we may try to play there again someday.

July 28th - We arrived in the Northern Neck early AM.  It's great to be back in my home state.  We lost the new cruise control on the way out of Darien, still not a bad ride.  We're just going to relax today and maybe have dinner and a few beers with Randy.

July 29th, NorthStar @ Coles Point Tavern - We opened for The Honkie Tonk Heroes.  Met Andrey, Dean and Keith Horne (he played with my hero Waylan Jennings) and Faron and his dad Gary.  They sounded great!  We did a good show too, I thought.  It was good to play to a crowd that doesn't know what to expect.  Ed and I hung around for a bit and then went and picked up POA (Plant of the Abts) from Richmond Airport.  By the way, Frankie joined us for the show and kicked ass. Thanks Frankie.

July 30th, The Mini Palooza at Coles Point - This was a special day!  Randy did a fantastic job putting this show together.  It was a blast!  Met so many players that day that I can't remember them all, but what a great bunch of artists Randy brought together.  Dean, Keith and Andrey had a 3 piece band that sounded great.  My cousin Jason had his new group "River Rock", they kicked it.  The Gypys Sons, great band, nice bunch of guys.  And Jimbo Manion sounded great and what a great guy!  Jeff an old friend was playing with him.  We had so many people come out to see us.  I thank each and everyone of you.  Donna Britton and her husband Bill from Shadow Mountain Music in Nashville(my pubishers)  Also Tommy from Sony Pictures in Nashville, who's been trying to get some of our music out there.  Thanks to Matt Abts who sat in with us for a few songs and really kicked some ass!  You are a real pro brother!  Finally, Plant of the Abts, Matt, Jorgen and T-Bone, tore it up.  These guys are a treat to watch and listen to.  Thanks POA for a great show.  It was a pleasure to meet T-Bone. I had met Jorgen before with "The Mule".  And thanks you guys for listening to a few cuts from my new CD, "Hopeless Romantic".  The whole day was a blast!

July 31st, NorthStar at The Thorton River Grille - Just when we thought it was over, we did a show with Steve Hageborn (Laughing Man).  What an interesting character and a great player and performer.  We had a blast Andy.  thanks for putting this together.

This is the kind of week you dream of.  Playing music with your friends.  Meeting people of like minds.  This is how I knew it should be.  I'm glad I let this happen!  Looking forward to next week.  I learned that the Levi Lowery show we were going to play has been cancelled.  I hope the folks that were in the accident will be okay.  We don't have anymore info as of now.  Thanks everybody!  Keepin' It Real - David
