June 1st, Retrophonics Studios - We worked on bass parts for "Dust them Blinds" and "My Tractor", and got a good start on "Come On". Jim DeVito will probably play the final bass track on that. I talked to Barry Dunaway, he's going to put a bass track on "Nothing At All". I'm really excited about that. Next week I will have Sue come in and lay down some more violin tracks, can't wait. Then Tony Scozzaro is going to join us for some guitar tracks the following week.

June 1st, DAVE at JT's Seafood Shack - It was a nice 1st gig of the season for me at this venue. It was good to see Johnny and Brandy. I'll be back at this great place July 13th!

June 2nd, OFF - Did some painting on the cat porch.

June 3rd,
Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Hurricane Grill and Wings - Both Sue and I were a little out of sorts before the gig, it had been a crazy day in different ways for the both of us. Even with our worries the show went fine, tried a couple new tunes, brought back a couple of old ones. Thanks Abe and staff see you next week!

June 4th,
DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at the Corner Bar - We had a great evening. This is one of the best gigs in town and I feel so lucky to hang out with such great players and people every week. Thanks Pat and staff!

June 5th, DAVE AT Aunt Kate's - Today marks the day I married Theresa 21 years ago. I was then and still am now one lucky guy. Thanks for putting up with me for all these years. I hope we have another 21!  It looked like rain but the guys at the bait shop out back said I'd probably be okay so I set up on the porch by the water. It turned out to be a nice afternoon, it started to sprinkle a little right near the end of the gig. I got off a few minutes early. See you Sunday 2-5pm. Thanks Brian, Dave, Tina and staff!

June 6th, OFF - We went to the car museum opening and saw some neat old cars to see Dan Bagan of Bagan and Company. Then went to dinner at 206 Bistro, it was great! The place is awesome! Thanks Sue, Wayne and Jim, Theresa and I had a great time and the food was excellent.

June 7th, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - The weather was bad so we (Dave and I) called the gig a rain out.

Looking forward to working at Retrophonics studio this week.  Thanks for supporting my music!!!!!!! Keepin' it Real! -David

May 25th, Retrophonics Studios - Jim and I listened to all the tracks I played to make sure they were ready for the rest of the Carpetbaggers to come in and work on. I think this week Brady Green will be putting down some Bass tracks. I headed home after session and rested for a few hours and then Theresa and I headed for Bagan and Company to do our "Live" show with The Carpetbaggers. The show went great, it's always a pleasure to hang out and play with this band. Also Dan, Clay and Theresa did a great job. Brady Green joined us on "Change The World" our last song.

May 26th, OFF - It was a nasty rainy day, I got nothing done and it felt good.

May 27th, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Hurricane Grill and Wings - We had some bad weather (rain, we really needed) but it held off for our show pretty much. Mark's family was in town for his services. I didn't know Mark well but he was always nice to be around when he stopped by our gigs. His family seemed very cool. I was also sad to hear of the passing of Inga Erickson our friend for many years.

May 28th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at The Corner Bar - This is our second week back and the crowd is getting bigger. It looks like things are trying to get back to normal. Thanks everyone for supporting Carpetbagger's music. See you next week!

May 29th, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - Brian was sure it was going to rain and rain a lot so I set up inside. I will admit the weather looked terrible but it didn't rain. I still had a nice night inside but most folks were outside. Hopefully Sunday will be better.

May 30th, DAVE at Creekside - The weather held, the place was packed and I had a great time! It's good to see Creekside opening up again. Everyone did a great job and they really took care of me and my family. Thanks!

May 31st, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - DAVE - A long hot day! I still had a great time as always! Thanks Brian, Dave, Tina and staff you guys are the best!

Looking forward to laying down some bass tracks at Retrophonics Studios for the new Carpetbaggers CD "Back Again" songs written by Besley, Reeves and Westcott.

May 18th, DAVE at Retrophonics Studios - We worked on the last 3 songs "My Tractor", "Come On" and "Telephone Lightning" for my new solo CD "Back Again". All the songs are arranged and now I need to stop by Bagan and Company to get copies made for Frankie, Sue, Tony, Brady and Woody. They are the A-Team. George already lent his great talent to a few tracks before he headed back to NC.

May 19th, OFF - We're going to put a bed together that TT ordered for the new guest room. Hopefully Brianna will help, she is more patient than I am. I went on a couple of errands to get things together for the Bagan and Company "Live" Show Monday 8pm to 9pm and Brianna had finished putting together the bed by the time I got back. I changed strings and mess around in the yard.

May 20th, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Hurricane Grille and Wings - We had a great night! It's still tough to keep up the 3 hour set but I guess I'll get back into the swing of it. Sue sounded great, as always (what a pro). Brady Green stopped by, he will join Sue and I starting next week, May 27th at Hurricane Grille and Wings. Thanks for coming out everybody and thanks Abe and staff you guys are the best!

May 21st, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at The Corner Bar - Our first night back since the middle of March. We have a great audience and they braved coming out to see us. Thanks for getting us back Pat and thanks for your support everyone. See you next Thursday!

March 22nd, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - I had a nice night out on the porch by the water! I lost a lot if gigs during this pandemic, all of my out of town gigs and most of my in town gigs. Brian at Aunt Kate's and Abe from Hurricane Grill and Wings really came through for me. Also Bagan and Company for our Live shows that we will continue to do the last Monday of every month 1st one is May 25th 8pm to 9pm.

March 23rd - I bought Braylen a fish and all the things you need for a fish for his birthday. That what he wanted. Theresa and I spent most of the day watching to make sure he would live.

March 24th, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - It turned out to be a nice afternoon by the water on the porch. Thanks Brian, Dave, Tina and staff you guys are the best!

Looks like next week is going to be a busy one, hope to see you out there! Keepin' It Real! -david
