May 22nd, Retrophonics Studios - Jim and I laid down a new tune "Believe in Somebody" then started getting "I'm So Gone" and "Harpoon Sadie" ready for Al Johnson's harp parts. Then it was off to Virginia.

May 22nd through May 30th, Coles Point Tavern - I had a great week in Virginia. It's always a blast playing for my friends, the Tavern Nation on the Rivah. A few old friends from Farifax High, my high school, came out to see me; Tim Rutherford, Fred Stapleton and Gail. Also Karen was up from St. Augustine, she was someone who had seen me play at the Pelican Landing with the band. Thanks Randy Watts for providing me with the sound, rides, dinner and friendship. Randy, you were the main force that brought me to this great place. Ace for putting me up and putting up with me. Chris and Ann and the wonderful staff at The Coles Point Tavern for having me play and who took such good care of me while I was there. Mike, Sandra, Selise and Steve for a great Memorial Day cookout. Richard for the fresh blue crabs. And last but not least all the men and women who gave their lives so we could enjoy our freedom here in the great U.S. of A.

May 31st - Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie, Hurricane Grill and Wings, - It was a blast getting back to play with the band.

June 1st, Bagan and Company - We finished and ordered the inserts for The Big Lonesome Rides Again! I will have CD's in a week and thumb drives about a week after that!

June 2nd, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - There was a private party that was scheduled for 6pm under the tent so I started early and ended early. Sorry Bob and Denise. It was a nice afternoon out on the porch by the water. See you again at Aunt Kate's on Sunday afternoon.

June 3rd, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at San Sebastian Winery - It was a great night! The weather cooperated and there was a big crowd! It doesn't get any better than this. See you next month on Saturday the 8th.

June 4th, DAVE at Aunt Kate's -  It was a beautiful afternoon out on the porch by the water! See you back here June 18th.

I will be in the studio this week working on a mix for "Life Goes On" and preparing 2 tracks from Poor-Dum for my friend and band mate Al Johnson to add some harmonica. I also hope to get the thumb drives designed and ordered for The Big Lonesome Rides Again. Thanks for letting me live my dream!!! Keepin' It Real!! - David
