October 16th, Retrophonics Studios - Mickey Adams was in today, he put a pedal steel track on "I'm So Gone" and on "Rocket".  It's up to Jim DeVito to do his magic on production to complete my 5th solo CD Poor-Dum...then on to the next.

October 17th, Songwriter's Night at The Beacon Listening Room- It was a great songwriter's night as always. Bob, Fond and John were just great! Sue Westcott was amazing. It's been a good run at this venue, we will see you next month, November 14th at a new place.

Fond, Sue, John, Bob and Dave

October 18th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at Hurricane Grill and Wings - We had a nice evening at Hurricane's. It's always good to get together with the band at this venue.

October 19th - Theresa and I went to check out the Oasis Tiki Bar, looks good as new location for Songwriter's Night and Sue and I playing once a month.

October 20th, Carpetbaggers DAVE and Sue at Tides and Oyster Bar - It was a blast as usual with Sue. They're really sprucing up the place. Looks great!

October 21st, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, Tony and Frankie at Borillo's - It was a strange but nice night. I don't think anyone of us had much gas in the tank.  We got the job done though, way to hang tough guys and gal.

October 22nd, Brady Green's Celebration of Life - It was a sad day but we all know Brady is in a better place. He was a good friend and big part of my musical career. Safe travels my friend.

October 23rd, Retrophonics Studios & Sun City - Long day. Jim and I took a look at what we have on the 10 tracks of my new solo cd Poor-Dum". Jim says we have everything we need so now we are mixing. I still have two new tunes to lay down hopefully in the next two weeks "The Way It Is" and "Making Rainbows". Later on Theresa and I met my my Dad and Margie at the Crazy Crab in Hilton Head SC for dinner and to drop off his guitar that Scott Sweet set up for him. This was the closest they were coming to us for awhile.

October 25th, Carpetbaggers DAVE, Sue, and Tony at Hurricane Grill and Wings - Frankie was under the weather, but the show must go on and we did. It was a wonderful night Sue and Tony kicked butt. The rain came with about 1 minute left in "Don't Stare At The Sun" one of our tunes the last song of the night.

October 29th, DAVE at Aunt Kate's - I had another great afternoon on the porch by the water!

October 31st, Retrophonics Studios - Jim And I started the mixing for Poor-Dum my new solo CD. We are going to work down the list, song #1 was "I Feel The Love" and Jim did a nice mix. We started on #2 "Life Goes On", but didn't get it all done...will continue next week. I'm excited. Looking down the road, after the release of Poor-Dum I plan to get back on the Carpetbaggers release Say Grace and at the same time I'll work with Jim and Johnny to start my next solo CD Project No. 6.

I'm looking forward to the gigs this week and then heading to Georgia on Friday. Sue and I will be performing on the Skeet Stage at The Shrimp & Grits Festival, hopefully we will get Ed Pickett to sit in. Thanks for letting me live my dream!!! Keepin' It Real! -David

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
